We are delighted that the outstandingly talented botanical illustrator Sarah Jane Humphrey has created a cover image and bespoke illustrations for Botanical Short Stories inspired by the anthology’s themes of love, loss, healing and myth.
Sarah is an award-winning botanical artist whose distinctive style and meticulous attention to detail have made her one of the most sought-after illustrators in her field. She has been honoured with four RHS Medals from the Royal Horticultural Society—one of the most prestigious botanical art exhibitions in the world—including a Gold Medal in 2023 for her acclaimed collection of seaweed paintings exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
Her work is widely published in bestselling books and leading editorials, and her portfolio features commissions from esteemed clients such as The Royal College of Physicians, The Royal Mint, Harrods, The Eden Project, and Jo Malone.
Sarah is currently pursuing a PhD at Falmouth University, specialising in the entangled fields of phycology and esotericism.
