Botanical Short Stories is a new anthology of short stories about plants and flowers edited by Emma Timpany and illustrated by RHS gold medal winning botanical illustrator Sarah Jane Humphrey. The anthology will be published by The History Press in spring 2024.
I am looking for submissions of short stories of between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length. Exceptional work that falls outside this range may also be considered. All entries must be original, unpublished and the author’s own work. Stories for children are not suitable for this publication.
Writers are encouraged to make full use of their creative freedom and embrace a wide range of literary styles and genres (literary fiction, crime fiction, historical fiction, sci-fi etc.) to create the very best new writing about this perennially fascinating subject.
